Parables of Eden
Wall Textile and Rug Collection, 2024
This collection features four patterns and three rug designs intended for interior spaces. Inspired by rich Persian rugs and textiles, I hand-painted every pattern with watercolors. Subsequently, I then enhanced and recolored them using CAD programs.
My goal with this collection was to create bold statement pieces and intricate backdrops. To enrich the designs, I experimented with found textures from photographs I took, and utilized techniques like dodging and burning to add depth. Each pattern was meticulously hand-painted using Windsor and Newton watercolors. I explored decorative ornate motifs and intricate subpatterns, emulating the timelessness of Persian craftsmanship.
